Dunwoody’s Dining Boom

Dunwoody’s Dining Boom

Dunwoody has been buzzing lately, and if you’ve been out and about, you’ve probably noticed it too. Over the past three years, 44 new restaurants have opened their doors here, and it feels like the dining scene has truly come into its own. As someone who spends his days crisscrossing this community — meeting neighbors, visiting homes, and trying not to stop for lunch twice — I’ve loved watching this growth unfold.

What’s happening isn’t random. Dunwoody has this special mix of small-town warmth and big-city convenience. With strong daytime traffic, walkable pockets of activity, and easy access from all over Atlanta, it makes perfect sense that chefs and restaurateurs are planting roots here. But the best part? These new spots aren’t just giving us more places to eat — they’re giving us more opportunities to connect.

And the variety is incredible. We’ve gained everything from chef-driven concepts to cozy local eateries, covering Mediterranean, sushi, Korean BBQ, tacos, and more. It’s been fun seeing how each place brings its own personality, yet somehow still fits the rhythm of Dunwoody life. You can feel the passion behind these kitchens — they’re not here to be trendy; they’re here to become part of the neighborhood.

Developments like High Street and Ashford Lane are helping shape this new era of dining, giving us vibrant areas where you can grab dinner, stroll around, and bump into familiar faces along the way. High Street especially has become a go-to for those evenings where you’re not ready to call it a night after a good meal.

One spot that really captures the spirit of this growth is Steak & Grace. It’s warm, welcoming, and feels instantly familiar — the kind of place where a great dinner turns into a great conversation. That sense of belonging is what keeps drawing new restaurants here, and what keeps people coming back.

And the momentum isn’t slowing down. With more openings planned at Park Place, Campus 244, and a few other pockets around town, it’s clear that Dunwoody’s dining boom is just getting started. As someone who helps people find their place in this community, I can’t help but love seeing the lifestyle here get richer, more vibrant, and more delicious.

If you’ve got a favorite new spot — or one you’re excited to try — I’d love to hear about it. After all, half the fun of living here is discovering what’s around the corner next.
