Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As we gather with loved ones today, I want to share what I’m most grateful for and highlight a few ways we can all stay connected to our community during this season.

This year, I’m especially thankful for the families I’ve had the opportunity to work with. Helping people find a place to call home is something I never take for granted. I’m also grateful for the many organizations and volunteers across Atlanta who continue to show what true community looks like. Their dedication reminds me daily that our city is at its best when we support and uplift one another.

If you’re looking to give back today, there are plenty of meaningful options: volunteer to serve or deliver meals, donate food or funds to local food banks, or get involved with nonprofits that support families and individuals in need. Even small acts of kindness can create ripple effects of hope throughout our community.

Here are three Thanksgiving Day events happening around Atlanta and the North Fulton area that bring people together:

  1. Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon & 5K — A long-standing Atlanta tradition and a great way to start the day with purpose.

  2. Gobble Wobble 5K in Alpharetta — A family-friendly race at Halcyon that supports local causes and brings neighbors together in a festive, energetic atmosphere.

  3. Running of the Turkeys 5K in Roswell — A cheerful Thanksgiving morning run through Downtown Roswell, supporting community initiatives and encouraging families to get active together.

As we celebrate today, I hope we all find a moment to reflect on our gratitude. I’m thankful for this community, for the people who make Atlanta such a special place to call home, and for the chance to play even a small part in that story.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, joyful, and meaningful Thanksgiving.
